Dear TRUE members:
We met on Oct. 18th at the district office to continue negotiations.
TRUE presented Articles:
# 4 Work Day/Work Year
#7 Class Size
#8 Transfer Language
#12 Safety
 
TRUSD presented Articles:
            #9 Extra Duty
            #13 Salary
            #14 Benefits
 
There was no real movement on either side.  After TRUSD declared this was their best and final offer, with regards to Salary and Benefits, the TRUE team met to caucus.
After much discussion, the team decided that continuing negotiations would not be beneficial to our members. TRUE declared that further meetings were probably not going to yield any significant movement and were ready to file impasse (see below and attached a description of the Impasse Procedure). 
The TRUSD team after meeting to caucus, came back and asked for one more day at the table. After in depth discussion and weighing the Pros and Cons, we agreed to meet on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
