Dear TRUE members:
The TRUE Negotiations Team met with district negotiators today, October 27, 2016. Our team had previously agreed we were at impasse, but the district requested one additional meeting. The district presented an offer which included:
- No additional increase in salary from their previous offer
- A decrease of one day to the TRUSD work year vs. the TRUE proposal of decreasing the work year by 4 days
- An increase in benefits of $9/month for Employee Only, $19/month for member +1, and $36/month for the family plan, vs. TRUE’s proposal of $50/month for every member.
There were no other proposed changes to the remaining Articles.
TRUE Negotiations Team caucused and determined that we were at impasse with the district. We reconvened with the district and agreed to file jointly for impasse before PERB. (attached a description of the Impasse Procedure)
