Dear TRUE Members,
Attached you will find copy of the presentation from TRUE’s Virtual General Membership Meeting held on December 7, 2016. The information in this presentation includes: the impasse process (what is mediation and fact finding), the role of organizing during this process and a side by side comparison of what has been proposed by TRUE and TRUSD during negotiations. You will also see polling questions asked of TRUE members during this webinar. This webinar was hosted by TRUE’s Negotiations Team (Janet Edwards, Paul Le Francois, Rebecca Le Doux and Crystal Grooms), Organizing Chair (Kim Gunter), our CTA Primary Contact Staff (Kenya Spearman), and myself.
TRUE and TRUSD go for the second day of mediation this Wednesday, January 11th. It is important you are informed of where we are in this process and what we are asking for. We hope for a resolution on Wednesday but also need to continue to prepare and organize if there is none.
Please wear your TRUE t-shirts or black on this Wednesday, Jan. 11th, in show of support of negotiating a fair settlement!
Tuesday is TRUE’s Mix and Mingle at Lions Gate Restaurant, 5:00 p.m., right around the corner from the district, and is also a TRUSD Board workshop meeting. TRUE’s Organizing Team wants you to come out to Lions Gate and have some food on us, and then go over to the Board workshop meeting.
We are stronger together!
