Effective March 23, 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act amended the FLSA to require employers to provide a nursing mother reasonable break time to express breast milk after the birth of her child.
To invoke Weingarten rights, a union member should say something like this: “If this discussion could lead to my being disciplined, I request union representation at this meeting, and that the meeting be postponed until my union representative arrives.” Click here to view this document.
