NEA RA ANNOUNCEMENT
Twin Rivers United Educators (TRUE) will hold an election for TRUE (Local) Delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly (NEA-RA), to fill ten seats with a one-year term each. All candidates must be active TRUE, CTA, NEA members.
This election may be waived, and the candidates declared elected, if following the period of open nominations, the number of candidates is equal to or less than the number of delegate positions to be filled.
The NEA-RA Representative election has been waived due to the number of candidates being less than the number of delegate positions. Congratulations to Kim Gunter who will serve as the NEA-RA Representative for 2026.
Any TRUE member wishing to run for these seats must file an official Declaration of Candidacy form so that it is received no later than 4:00 pm on February 17, 2026, at the TRUE Office (3318 Howard Street, Suite 10, McClellan, 95652) or via email elections@trueassociation.org. Post-marked date not accepted.

CTA STATE COUNCIL REPRESENTIVE
TRUE is holding an open nomination election to fill ONE seat for a Representative on the CTA State Council of Education, and ONE seat for an Alternate, both with a three (3) year term that begins on June 26, 2026 and expires on June 25, 2029.
A candidate statement of no more than 30 words may be submitted along with the Declaration of Candidacy and signed acknowledgement of TRUE Campaign Rules, to be received no later than 4:00 pm on February 17, 2026 at the TRUE office. Candidacy forms can be mailed (post marked date not accepted), emailed (elections@trueassociation.org), or dropped off in person to the TRUE office at 3318 Howard St #10, McClellan Park

It considers and acts upon proposals affecting the welfare of the public schools of California; it elects the CTA Executive Officers and other Board of Directors members, determines CTA membership dues and adopts the CTA annual budget.”
